CCHS and Shults Subaru Celebrate Successful Subaru Loves Pets Campaign
Chautauqua County Humane Society and Shults Subaru Celebrate Subaru Loves Pets Success
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (November 4, 2025) According to the ASPCA®, 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2024, where many wait to find loving homes. That’s why, as part of their Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Shults Subaru provided CCHS with direct funding, through a grant administered by the ASPCA®, to help the Chautauqua County Humane Society cover essential costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses, holding a community microchip clinic as well as a massive Subaru Loves Pets adoption event at CCHS Pet Expo ‘25!
61 Pets were microchipped during a community Microchip clinic on Saturday, October 11th. CCHS Director of Communication and Fundraising Brian Papalia said, “That’s a lot of pets who will be much safer now if something happens where they get away from home. The support from the ASPCA’s Subaru Loves Pets grant made this clinic possible.”
The crowning piece of the Subaru Loves Pets Partnership with Shults Subaru was the Subaru Loves Pets adoption event, Saturday, October 18th at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. Shults Subaru Sales Assistant/Delivery Specialist Savannah Frey said, “We were thrilled to take part in the 1st Annual Pet Expo hosted by the Chautauqua County Humane Society. As part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, we were proud to support local pet adoptions by providing New Pet Parent Kits to families welcoming cats and dogs into their homes. We also had a great time giving away our “Chewbaru” toys—dog chew toys shaped like the Subaru Outback! It was such a wonderful event, and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
