PENNIES 4 PAWS CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (February 15, 2021)  The Chautauqua County Humane Society’s (CCHS) annual Pennies 4 Paws campaign presented by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa kicked off on February 12th with a goal to collect 1,000,000 pennies to benefit the pets that rely on the shelter’s essential services.

Your Pennies 4 Paws support will help dogs like Wyatt and Garth (photo attached) find their adoptive families. Wyatt and Garth arrived at CCHS last March after they were rescued from a trailer in Panama, NY along with 12 other dogs.  In 2020, CCHS helped Wyatt, Garth, and hundreds of other animals with a variety of needs including food, shelter, and medical care.  CCHS Partnership Director Brian Papalia said, “The essential services provided by CCHS have stayed strong through these difficult times created by the COVID-19 Pandemic thanks to continued community support.  Every penny donated stays local and goes directly to the care of so many great pets waiting to go home. This year anyone interested in participating in Pennies 4 Paws will be able to drop off donations or pick-up money collection canisters during any of our Chautauqua Mall adoption events.  The calendar of events can be found at Chqhumane.org.”

Pennies 4 Paws is sponsored by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa, The Media One Radio Group,  The Chautauqua Mall, B&L Wholesale Supply, Blackstone Advanced Technologies, Customized Management Strategies, JB Liquor, Jamestown Macadam, JB Liquor, SKF, and 2nd Chances Thrift Store.

CCHS encourages schools, social organizations, individuals, and businesses to find creative ways to become involved. Online donations can be made here.
