CCHS 100 Day Club Spotlight: Four Incredible Pets Who’ve Waited Far Too Long
CCHS 100 Day Club Spotlight: Four Incredible Pets Who’ve Waited Far Too Long
At CCHS, we believe every animal deserves their moment in the spotlight, especially those who have been with us a little longer. Our 100-Day Club is made up of sixteen amazing pets who have been in our care for 100 days or more. Today, we’re highlighting just four of them, each one overflowing with personality, heart, and the kind of resilience that makes you fall in love instantly.
These are the animals who greet us every morning, who make us laugh, who remind us why this work matters. And while we’re featuring Ron Swanson, Cody, Lisa, and Iva today, they represent a total of 16 long timers who are ready to go home.
Top Left: Ron Swanson, The Gentleman of Simple Joys
Ron Swanson is a dog of few words and many principles. He loves the quiet moments: a sturdy stick, a sunny nap spot, a cozy couch, and a peaceful yard to call his own. Independent by nature, Ron values freedom and outdoor time, but he’ll never turn down a chance to meet a new two-legged friend. Sit beside him and he’ll lean in for a neck scratch and offer gentle kisses in return. Ron prefers to be your one and only, though he might tolerate the right canine neighbor. After more than 100 days, he’s ready for a home that understands his steady, soulful way of living.
Top Right: Cody, The Adventure Buddy Waiting for His Trail Partner
Cody comes alive in the great outdoors. He’s active, smart, curious, and happiest when he has a job to do or a trail to follow. He’s looking for an adult only adopter with an on-the-go lifestyle, someone who loves long walks, hiking, exploring, and embracing nature. Cody needs a cat-free home and may do best as the only dog, though slow introductions could help him find the right canine friend. He has some resource guarding behaviors, but with structure and positive reinforcement, he’ll thrive. Fun fact: Cody is DNA tested. He’s a Russell Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, Mountain Cur, and Great Pyrenees mix, a one-of-a-kind adventure companion who’s been waiting over 100 days for his perfect match.
Bottom Left: Lisa, The Sweet Explorer with a Heart of Gold
Lisa is affectionate, curious, and full of personality. She loves her people, loves attention, and loves exploring her space with a playful spark. She’s also on a very serious mission to find her favorite treat, and yes, testing is required. When she first arrives home, Lisa needs a quiet room to settle in and feel safe. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet, social side shines. She’d be happy with a calm cat friend who respects her vibe, but high energy dogs are a bit too much for her. Lisa has been waiting over 100 days for someone who appreciates a gentle, curious girl with a whole lot of heart.
Bottom Right: Iva, the 400-Day Queen Ready to Clock In for Her Forever Job
Iva is a two-year-old black beauty with a personality that could run a small business. After 400 days with us, she’s more than ready for her home or her forever workplace. She’s independent, confident, and prefers affection on her terms. She’s not a lap cat, and she won’t chase you down for attention, but she will supervise your tasks, monitor your workflow, and keep an eye on everything happening around you. Iva would thrive in an office, shop, or cat friendly business, but she’d also be perfectly happy as the only cat in a quiet home. Long work hours? No problem. She’ll hold down the fort. Need a supervisor? She’s got it. Need a premises inspector? She’s on it. Need a coworker who respects personal space? Iva understands boundaries better than anyone.
These Four Are Just the Beginning
Ron Swanson, Cody, Lisa, and Iva are only four members of a group of 16. Our 100-Day Club currently has sixteen incredible animals who have waited far too long to meet their families.
If you’ve been thinking about adopting it, this is your sign. If you can’t adopt, share their stories. If you love what we do, help these long timers finally go home.
