CCHS Announces Wellness & Whiskers Event 9/2
Wellness & Whiskers: A Night of Connection, Compassion, and Community
At the Chautauqua County Humane Society, we believe wellness grows stronger when people and animals thrive together. On Wednesday, September 2nd from 6pm to 8pm, we’re partnering with WNY Whole Body Health to host Wellness & Whiskers, an evening designed to nourish the body, calm the mind, and celebrate the healing connection between humans and pets.
This cozy, uplifting gathering invites our community to slow down, breathe deeply, and explore simple practices that support whole‑body wellness. Guests will have the chance to meet gentle adoptable animals, learn from wellness professionals, and experience firsthand how caring for ourselves and caring for animals naturally go hand in hand.
What to Expect
Our theme for the evening: “Healthy Together: What Our Pets Teach Us About Wellness and How We Can Return the Favor”. The evening highlights the everyday lessons our pets share with us. They remind us to move, play, rest, connect, love deeply, and enjoy the moment. During the event, attendees will learn:
- Signs and symptoms of your pet’s health
- What your pet’s wellness may reveal about your own
- Foods that help both people and pets thrive
- Healthy hacks for the whole household
Meet Our Hosts
The team at WNY Whole Body Health specializes in personalized clinical nutrition coaching rooted in a whole‑foods approach. Their mission is to empower individuals to regain and maintain their health while avoiding unnecessary pharmaceutical drugs and invasive surgeries. They’ll be on site to share their expertise, answer questions, and connect with guests.
You’ll also meet volunteers and staff of the Chautauqua County Humane Society, learn about our mission, and enjoy hands‑on time with adoptable animals. For more than 120 years, CCHS has provided safety, care, and second chances for animals in need. Through adoption, behavioral support, medical care, and community programs, we strengthen the bond between people and pets every day. With our Building Our Future campaign, we’re preparing for essential facility upgrades that will help us continue this mission for generations to come.
