SUMMARY:Rabies Clinic @ Brooklyn Square Salvation Army
DESCRIPTION:The Chautauqua County Health Department\, The Salvation Army\, and the Chautauqua County Humane Society are teaming up once again to offer a free rabies vaccination clinic for local pets. This important community service will take place on Saturday\, September 12th\, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army of Jamestown\, located at 83 South Main Street. \nRabies prevention is one of the most essential responsibilities of pet ownership. New York State Public Health Law requires that all dogs\, cats\, and domesticated ferrets over four months of age be vaccinated against rabies\, and clinics like this make it easy\, accessible\, and safe for families across the county to stay up to date. \nVaccinations are free of charge for dogs\, cats\, and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older\, but pre‑registration is required. Spots are limited\, and early registration ensures your pet can be seen. If you register but later find you cannot attend\, organizers ask that you cancel your appointment through your confirmation email so another pet can take that spot. \nTo help the clinic run smoothly\, pet owners should bring any previous rabies vaccination records. Dogs must arrive on a leash\, and cats and ferrets must be in individual carriers. Trained handlers will safely transport animals to the veterinarian for vaccination. \nRabies is a serious and often fatal disease that affects warm‑blooded animals\, including raccoons\, bats\, skunks\, and foxes. The virus can be transmitted through bites\, scratches\, or contact with saliva\, making vaccination the best line of defense for both pets and people. \nCCHS is proud to support this clinic and encourages all county residents to take advantage of this free opportunity to protect their pets and their families. \n👉 Click here to register: https://chautauquacountyny.gov/environmental-health/event/rabies-vaccination-clinic-salvation-army-9122026

SUMMARY:CCHS Runnings Store Adoption Event
DESCRIPTION:If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to adopt\, this is it. On Saturday\, September 19th\, the Chautauqua County Humane Society will host our fourth and final ASPCA #RescueEffect fee‑waived adoption event\, and we’re bringing the celebration to two locations so even more families can meet the pets who are ready for a fresh start. \nYou can visit us at Runnings on Fairmount Avenue in Jamestown from 11 AM to 2 PM or stop by the CCHS Adoption Center on Strunk Road from 11 AM to 3 PM. Both locations will feature wonderful animals waiting to go home\, dogs\, playful kittens\, and adult cats are hoping someone sees them and says\, “Yes\, you’re the one.” \nThanks to the ASPCA’s national Rescue Effect campaign\, adoption fees will be waived at both locations. This initiative helps shelters across the country place more animals into loving homes while opening space for the next pets who need care\, safety\, and support. \nWhile adoption fees are waived\, our standard adoption procedures and processes remain in place. We’re committed to making thoughtful\, successful matches that set both pets and families up for long‑term happiness. \nThis final Rescue Effect Day is all about community\, compassion\, and giving animals the chance to begin a new chapter. When you adopt\, you’re not only changing the life of the pet you bring home\, but you’re also helping us continue our mission to care for the animals who arrive next. \nSo come meet the pets. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your love for animals and help us make this final Rescue Effect Day one to remember.
