Jelly Bean has been with us a bit longer than most kittens her age because she’s had a few medical bumps along the way. Her diagnosis is a Grade 3 Patellar Luxation, which means her kneecap slips painfully out of place. To fix this, she needs a Trochleoplasty with a Tibial Tuberosity Transposition, a specialized orthopedic surgery that will allow her to walk, play, and grow without pain.
Her left leg, which is the worse of the two, will be repaired first, with her first surgery scheduled for May 28th. Once she heals, she’ll undergo the same surgery on her right leg 6–8 weeks later.
Her surgery will be performed at Village Veterinary Clinic in Westfield, where the team will generously apply a discount to help Jellybean out. Even with that kindness, the total estimated cost of her care is $5,013.68.
