Warrin’ Wrecking Dolls to Support CCHS Animals
At CCHS we are so grateful to serve such a supportive community. On Saturday, July 26th we will be guests of the local roller derby team, the Warrin’ Wrecking Dolls. The Wrecking Dolls have a double header at the Northwest Arena with the first match scheduled for 3pm. We caught up with League President Tabitha Ross to talk about the world of roller derby and, of course, animals!
What made the team choose the humane society to benefit from the evening?
We have a lot of animal lovers on the team, so supporting the Chautauqua County Humane Society felt like a natural choice. Many of us have adopted pets ourselves and truly understand the impact of the organization’s work. Roller derby is deeply rooted in community, and this was a meaningful way for us to give back to a cause that’s close to our hearts
For those not familiar with roller derby, what can they expect?
Expect high energy, fast-paced action, and a whole lot of fun! Roller derby is a full-contact sport played on roller skates, combining strategy, strength, and teamwork. You’ll see skilled skaters competing fiercely on the track, but just as importantly, there’s a strong sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The atmosphere is always lively, family friendly, and welcoming, making it a great experience for both long-term fans and first-time spectators.
What kind of fundraising will be done to support the animals at CCHS?
We’re donating 100% of the proceeds from our duck sale to the Humane Society. In addition, we’ll have a donation table where fans can drop off items from the Humane Society’s wish list—such as pet food, toys, or blankets. As a thank-you, anyone who donates an item will receive a special gift from the Dolls!
Give us the lowdown on how folks that want to come out on how they can get tickets and when the matches are?
Tickets can be purchased online at warrinwreckingdolls.com or by clicking the link https://www.simpletix.com/e/2025-home-bout-warrin-wrecking-dolls-vs-ao-tickets-225107 at the door on game night, the northwest ice arena or directly from your favorite derby girl! The event takes place at Northwest Arena, and it’s a double header, so you’ll get twice the action. The first game starts at 4:00 PM, with the main event kicking off at 6:00 PM. Be sure to stick around for the duck toss fundraiser around 6:30 PM—it’s a fun way to support the Humane Society. We recommend arriving early to grab a good seat and check out the donation table and other pre-bout activities!
Obviously, there are some animal lovers on the Warrin’ Wrecking Dolls. Who has the most pets on the team?
That title for most pets ever goes to Stormageddon, who once owned over 80 rats at the same time—a true animal lover! Meanwhile, Tabulous and Sgt. Driller have both adopted three dogs. 2 dogs coming from the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
We look forward to seeing everyone come to the Northwest Arena on Saturday, July 26th to catch the Warrin’ Wrecking Dolls and to support the animals at the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
