CCHS Announces Season of Hope Adoption Drive

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY ANNOUNCES SEASON OF HOPE

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (November 23, 2022) The Chautauqua County Humane Society (CCHS) is teaming up with Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa for the Season of Hope adoption drive! From Black Friday, November 25th through Friday December 23rd we are working to make sure one hundred animals end up in loving homes through adoption or fostering.

 

CCHS Senior Programs Director Brian Papalia said “We currently have sixty-three cats and fourteen dogs up for adoption as well as twenty-six animals in foster that will become available throughout the season. There are always plenty of personalities and age ranges to choose from.”

 

Brian also said, “The Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Adoption Center located at 2825 Strunk Road in Jamestown, has open lobby hours to the public for cat adoptions. The lobby is open from 1pm to 5:30pm Mondays through Wednesdays and Fridays and from 11am to 3pm on Saturday.

 

There will be a Season of Hope kickoff adoption event that will give holiday shoppers the opportunity to meet their potential new family member. Brian said, “We will have animals at the Chautauqua Mall from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday, November 26th,” We want to thank Media One Radio Group, The Chautauqua Mall, WNY News Now, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union, and Fessenden Laumer and DeAngelo, PLLC for making the Season Of Hope possible.”

CCHS Announces Half Off Adoptions for The Public and Puts The Spotlight on Veteran Adoption Specials

CCHS ANNOUNCES RED, WHITE, &MEWS CAMPAIGN

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (October 10, 2022) – The Chautauqua County Humane Society is celebrating the Veteran’s in our community with the Red, White, and Mew, & Woofs Too campaign.  The adoption fee is being waived on animals one year and older for veterans and is half for animals under 1 year old.  To get even more animals home CCHS will be offering half off adoptions on animals over 1 year of age throughout November to all potential adopters.

CCHS Partnership Director Brian Papalia said, “With the holidays on the way, now is a great time to adopt. For some a new pet can mean that you have this great new companion that will brighten your season and the days beyond.” Brian also said, “We invite our local Veterans to come to CCHS and meet our available cats, and dogs. There is never any pressure to adopt, but you never know when that spark will catch that leads to a lifelong relationship.”
