Senior 4 Seniors - Do you know a senior citizen who's battling loneliness? Emotionally, pets can bring new meaning and purpose to the life of seniors. The unconditional love and commitment a pet can provide to his owner is almost like free therapy. Having a pet in an elderly person's life can offer them a sense of well-being, a sense of encouragement, and even a reason for living. In addition to easing loneliness, pets may also make seniors healthier. Studies suggest that contact with animals can lower blood pressure, decrease stress, reduce bone loss, lower cholesterol levels, and improve blood circulation. Our
Senior 4 Seniors program
waives the fee for a loving pet 6 years or older to a senior citizen 60 years or older.

SPECIAL NEEDS PETS -
Throughout the year, we encounter many animals with special needs affecting their health, safety or well being. Just like humans, animals can be born with defects but that doesn't mean they don't deserve a loving home and a fulfilling life! Special needs pets can have:
- a need to be an "only child"
- special food requirements
- a manageable ongoing medical condition such as allergies
- special grooming needs
We always encourage the adoption of special needs pets. Though they often require extra attention, the effort you put in makes it all worth it to the life of these animals. We always waive the adoption fees on special needs pets as an added incentive to give these animals a second chance.
