14TH ANNUAL WALK 4 PAWS RAISES OVER $30,000 FOR THE ANIMALS AT THE
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY!
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (October 29, 2018) – The Chautauqua County Humane Society (CCHS) is pleased to announce the totals from the fourteenth Annual Walk 4 Paws fundraiser, presented by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa. Team and individual fundraising, Tag Days money collection weekends, and sponsorship contributed to the $30,355.45 total. The money raised will go directly towards the mission of CCHS.
The Walk 4 Paws was held Saturday October 20 at Chautauqua Institution. Despite cold and rainy weather, over 120 people showed up for the exciting day which included a one and a half mile awareness/fundraising walk, cook out, and pet costume contest. The Pet Costume Contest was won by a dog dressed like a peacock.
Community Relations Director Brian Papalia said "You can really see the dedication these folks have to the animals that rely on CCHS when they show up with their pets, ready to walk on a cold and rainy day like we had on the 20th."

Reiley Kolstee was the first place individual for the second year in a row, collecting $1,725, Keith Warner was second with $1,105, and CCHS Board Member Edwin Rodriguez was third with $626.
