CCHS Announces Walk For Paws Pet Costume Parade on Halloween

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

We are excited to be able to announce a safe and socially distanced Walk For Paws Pet Costume Parade presented by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa at the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood. This is being done in conjunction with their Howl-O-Ween event happening that same afternoon.
For folks that would like to fundraise for the Walk For Paws we would ask that you sign up at Chqhumane.org to do that. There will be special Walk For Paws T-shirts for folks that raise $100 and more great prizes for those that raise $250 or more. Register to fundraise here https://conta.cc/2GnzgbI
During the Walk For Paws Costume Parade we invite you to stop by our storefront that has been generously donated by the Chautauqua Mall to meet some animals that are currently up for adoption. We also will be accepting Walk For Paws donations, or any cash or checks that were collected by fundraisers during their efforts.  CCHS Director of Community Relations Brian Papalia said, "In an effort to do our part to slow COVID-19 and to keep everyone safe we did eliminate paper registrations for the Walk For Paws this year, but the pet costume parade will give folks the opportunity to drop off those offline donations that they may have collected.  Those folks will of course be eligible for T-shirts and Prizes."
Special thanks to Chautauqua Chemicals Company, Fessenden Laumer and DeAngelo, PLLC, Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union, UBS Financial, and St. Luke's Church for their support of the Walk For Paws.
Pets attending must be leashed or crated and up to date on all vaccinations.
