The Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Walk 4 Paws presented by Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa, was a great success that was enjoyed by area residents and their K9 companions.  The walk was held this past Saturday, September 16th at Panzarella Island Park in Jamestown and was attended by nearly 70 people.  Over $6,200 was raised to  benefit the animals that rely on the care of the CCHS.

The Walk 4 Paws Top Fundraising Teams included:

1-Howard Hanna Holt Real Estate $1,527

2-Chautauqua County Humane Society Board $850

3-TRC Paw Walkers $425

The Walk 4 Paws Top Fundraising Individuals included:

1-Darcy McLachlan $1,427

2-Emily Southwick $600

3-Stephanie Malinowski $500

CCHS Director of Fundraising and Communication Brian Papalia said, “We are so happy that everyone who came to the walk had a good time and really enjoyed our activity tents. Pups were creating paintings, having their portraits taken, and participating in the nose work demonstration. It was as fun for the dogs as it was for the folks that brought them!” Papalia said the energy around the walk was exhilarating, “We really feel like this is the next generation of the Walk 4 Paws and look forward to growing the walk even more in 2024.”

The Walk 4 Paws was made possible thanks to the sponsorship support of Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa, The Media One Radio Group, Shults Auto Group, Supportive Divorce Solutions, WNY News Now, Fessenden Laumer and DeAngelo LLC.  The photo tent was made possible with the help of Heather Johnston of Heather J Photography and Jett Papalia of Jett Creative.  The Pup Painting tent was made possible through the generous contributions of CCHS Volunteers Jillian Jones and Kim Touhey.
