Meet Gus!
Gus is a really good natured guy who is looking for a family to call his own. He really needs to find a home without cats or children under eight. He just isn’t a fan of sharing his stuff. Gus is pretty spunky for an older feller. He also is a bigger guy who is pretty strong.

Gus was found abandoned on a porch and was brought to the Chautauqua County Humane Society by City of Dunkirk Animal Control Officer Denize Zentz. After he came to the shelter on April 21st, a very caring community came together to cover the costs of the necessary medical treatments needed to get him physically well and the Behavior Staff at CCHS has done a wonderful job mentally preparing him for his new home. Lead Canine Activities Specialist Danny Reynolds talks about Gus, “Every once in a while, we get a dog whose personality lights up the room. Gus is one of those dogs. He is a happy go lucky boy who loves to be around people. He plays well with most other dogs. Currently he goes out with Fiona to play and they have a great time. Anytime I work with Gus, he brings a smile to my face.”
Gus really enjoys going for walks and just being with his people. If you think that you would be a good match for each other, then please click here to fill out an adoption app at chqhumane.org.
