The clock is ticking.  Vote for your favorite pets now!

The Chautauqua County Humane Society's Hot Dogs/Cool Cats Pet Photo Contest is going strong.  We are excited to see who will be crowned the CCHS 20/20 Pet of the Year!   We want to thank everyone who is participating and voting to support the animals that rely on CCHS.  Director of Community Relations Brian Papalia said "I urge everyone to visit the Hot Dogs/Cool Cats page and not just look at the pictures, but to also read the stories of the animals.  There are some very touching stories of how pets came into peoples lives. There are some animals in Hot Dogs/Cool Cats contest that relied on CCHS at one time or another."

The 10 pet photos with the most votes will artfully appear on plush blankets. Papalia said “This year we thought we would change things up a bit and put the top 10 animal photos onto plush blankets.  The contest takes place during the coldest part of the year, so why not give participants something warm and beautiful to look forward to.  What’s warmer and more beautiful than a comfy blanket with your furry family member on it?”  The winning animal’s parent(s) also receives a $100 Visa gift card and a pet photography session with Catherine Panebianco Photography. There are also prizes including $75, $50 and $25 Visa gift cards for second through fourth place respectively.

Everyone is encouraged to participate. Votes are $1 each and purchased in banks of 5. The money collected through the competition benefits the animals at CCHS. Visit to learn more about the HDCC Pet Photo Contest and to vote.

We want to thank Happy Hounds Hotel and Day Spa, The Media One Radio Group and Catherine Panebianco Photography for making the contest possible.

The mission of the Chautauqua County Humane Society is to improve and save lives through compassionate care, advocacy for animals, and commitment to the community.
